India is well known for its contributions to mathematics.Recent contribution in the areas of Fluid Mechanics, Differential Equations and Scientific Computation have attracted the attention of mathematicians of other countries.The Indian Industrial and Applied Mathematicians community is delighted that a satellite conference ICM2010 will be held on the theme of “Mathematics in Science and Technology” during 15-17 August 2010 at IHC/IICC Lodhi Road, New Delhi. The community is also pleased to note that the International Council of Industrial and Applied Mathematics, comprising of leading societies in the world and represented by distinguished scholars, will hold its Board Meeting on 14 August 2010 at the same venue. This provides an ample opportunity for young scientists and engineers to interact with world-class experts.
