Proceedings:

The lectures during the workshop will be published in the form of an edited volume.

Objective:

The theory and applications of wavelets have undoubtedly dominated all mathematical, engineering and related fields throughout the last decade. Few other theoretical developments in mathematical sciences have enjoyed this much attention and popularity. The aim of the workshop is to introduce applications of wavelets mainly in inverse problems and partial differential equations as well as other fields of engineering. Given the fact that in India the percentage of scientist working in the area of applications of wavelets are incredible low. Therefore, this workshop will be specifically important for the research activity of wavelets in India, where participants will be benefited from renowned international and national scientist known for their activities in the area of applications of wavelets. Moreover, the workshop is also aimed to update the participants with an up to date knowledge in the above mentioned field.

Scope

  1. The workshop is aimed to create common platform for many researchers in the field of inverse problems and wavelets with applications to real world systems.
  2. There is also a followup satellite conference of ICM2010 on Mathematics in Science andTechnology. Therefore, participants can take the advantage of both the events.
